TC 8.12 Activities

Our principal activities include:

  • Developing and reviewing technical programs for presentation for ASHRAE's twice-yearly meetings.
  • Proposing and monitoring research which relates to desiccants and dehumidification technology.
  • Writing chapters of the ASHRAE Handbook, keeping them current and contributing information to chapters produced by other technical committees.
  • Developing standards and methods of test for desiccant components of HVAC systems.
  • Writing and reviewing technical articles intended for publication in the ASHRAE Journal and ASHRAE's Journal of HVAC&R Research.
  • Meeting twice a year, usually at the end of January and June.
